Proving Spiritual Guidance at the End of Life
A hospice chaplain is a critical member of our hospice team. They are focused on the emotional and spiritual needs of the patient, family members and entire care team as the end of life nears.
Guiding care teams and families through the end of life.
VNA’s Hospice Chaplains are nondenominational guides who provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and care teams throughout the end-of-life journey. They support individuals through questions and unknowns related to death, provide comfort and solace in difficult moments and support caregivers throughout the entire process.
What does a Chaplain do?
The Chaplain conducts worship and administers sacraments, as per the preferences of the family served. The Chaplain is also able to perform other religious ceremonies and services that support the loved one and family through the end-of-life journey.
Our Chaplains know that you and your family have needs that are unique. They are experts at navigating the many types of emotional and spiritual challenges that can arise near the end of life.
